i went 52 days without alcohol. i casually decided to have a Guinness tonight. i drank about half of it before i gave it away. things. have. changed.

my first "buddhist moment"

so i’ve been reading alot about buddhism lately. i actually started with “Buddhism For Dummies” of all things. something about it speaks to me. a big part of buddhism is letting go of desire and attachment to all things. this guy asks a question ‘how do buddhists fall in love?’, and i think the answer is pretty great, buddhist or not.

i am currently in the process of writing the new Boom Chicago show. i’ve written sketches before, but nothing like this. it is a massive undertaking, and will take months of work. one of the ways we generate ideas is by simple group discussions.
